Any time I sit down to do my nails and draft out a design in my mind… I literally end up with something iridescent or holographic. Like… look at my nails… iridescent accents. Today is no different. I’m going to be using mica flakes to create today’s look.
If you’re not familiar with mica flakes… Mica flakes are these super thin foil sheets (I mean like super thin, they literally go airborne once you open the container) and they tend to be multicolor or iridescent.
Mica flakes require very little effort to apply to the nails, you’ll see me just lay them on to the tacky layer of the gel color. Definitely much much easier to encapsulate than glitter, so if you’re struggling to encapsulate glitter smoothly do give mica flakes a try.
